RUBIS Group (Second Marché Paris FR0000121253) posted turnover of €413.6m for the year ended 31 December 2004, up 4.2% compared to a first half down 7.2%, emphasising the fact that turnover gathered pace in the second half.

Turnover in the fourth quarter surged 22.7% to €132.6m, with volume up 9% at RUBIS GAZ and 4.6% in storage services at RUBIS TERMINAL.

It should be remembered that turnover is subject to variations in the price of petroleum products and to fluctuations in the volume traded, with only a marginal impact on earnings.

In Africa (81,000 tons), LPG distribution in Morocco and Madagascar confirmed its rapid growth surging 28%. In Senegal, which has been consolidated since 1 September 2003, volumes remain 10% ahead of forecasts.

Rubis Terminal (Liquid product storage)

With annual throughput of 8.1 million tons, RUBIS TERMINAL depots have experienced contrasting activity: a firm increase (up 7%) in petroleum products and fertilisers (73% of the business), with the expected growth at the end of the year confirmed, whereas chemicals, molasses and oil-seed products recorded a downturn due to contracts ending and to the comparison with 2003, which was an exceptional year for oil-seed products.

The annual results for 2004 will be published on 17 March 2005.
