Our CSR, a continuous progress approach
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the United Nations in 2015. They are a global call to act to eradicate poverty, protect the Planet and ensure that all human beings live in peace and prosperity by 2030.
Rubis participates on a more or less large scale in the implementation of each of the 17 UN SDGs, with a more direct impact on 10 of them.

Integrating social and environmental issues into all our operations
Ever since we were founded, we’ve been committed to providing as many people as possible with long-term, reliable access to energy, while meeting the social and environmental challenges that this entails.
Between the publication of our first CSR report in 2011 and our accession to the United Nations Global Compact in 2021, we have set a number of milestones that provide a framework and guarantee the progress of our CSR policy internally.
Our membership of the United Nations Global Compact in 2021 reaffirms our ongoing commitment to structuring and steering our approach.
Today, our action plan is up and running, measurable and everyone can follow its progress.

United Nations initiative launched in 2000 to encourage companies worldwide to integrate and promote a number of principles relating to human rights, international labour standards, the environment and the fight against corruption.
Accelerating the implementation of our policy
In 2022, our first Group CSR seminar brought together all the General Managers of the subsidiaries, the CSR Officers and the functional departments to ensure ever more effective coordination, and we are continuing to strengthen our CSR teams.
We have set precise objectives in our CSR Roadmap Think Tomorrow 2022-2025 , which details all our commitments:

« In addition to the climate challenge, which is an integral part of our strategic vision, we attach the utmost importance to the safety of our operations and compliance with the highest ethical standards. »
Sophie Pierson, Chief Sustainability & Compliance Officer
Decarbonising our business to meet the climate challenge
Our business as an energy supplier and transporter is at the heart of two major challenges: facilitating access to energy to improve people’s daily lives and economic activity, while tackling global warming.
To resolve this tension, we are implementing an ambitious climate strategy, steered by our Group Strategic Climate & CSR Committee.
